Wedding Receptions and Functions Terms and Conditions

These conditions apply when booking the Manor House facilities. Your confirmation of the booking will signify acceptance of these conditions.

Deposit

A £500.00 non-refundable deposit is payable on confirmation of your booking. If a deposit is not received within fourteen days of making a provisional booking it may be released without prior notice.

Minimum numbers

60 adults on Saturdays.
Evening Reception Buffets  - there is no minimum catering requirement if there are at least 100 evening guests in total. Numbers less than 100 may be subject to an additional charge or minimum requirement.

Exclusive Use

Should you reach a minimum number of 60 for your wedding breakfast we will not open the restaurant. This would give you the entire ground floor of the Manor House to yourselves during the afternoon and throughout the evening, including the lounge, terrace, bar and reception areas.

Upon the booking of 20 bedrooms (see accommodation) it is therefore possible to have the whole of the Manor House exclusively at no additional cost or fee.

This may not apply if we already have bookings in place, and may not apply to the Courtyard area of the hotel. 

Accommodation

Should you wish, if a minimum of 20 bedrooms are booked on the wedding night, no further rooms will be released to any other party or individual. Where this is your wish, if there is a shortfall in numbers due to a non arrival or cancellation, you may be liable for the loss of revenue to a 20 room maximum.

Cancellation

In the unfortunate event of a cancellation the following charges shall apply for confirmed bookings:
Cancel within six months - 75% of the total amount
Cancel within three months - 100% of the total amount

Postponement is allowed to within 6 months of the original date at an additional cost of £500. We recommend that you take out specialist wedding insurance for your own piece of mind.

Final Numbers

If you give us at least two weeks notice prior to the date of your event you can reduce your original numbers by 10% without charge. Any additional reductions will be charged in full.

Payment

In addition to your initial £500 deposit, 50% of the estimated total cost is to be paid 6 months prior to the event. Those bookings confirmed within 6 months will be required to pay 50% of the estimated total cost on confirmation in addition to the deposit.  The final balance is required 14 days prior to the event.

Amendments by the Client

Any amendments you decide to make to your booking must be confirmed to the hotel in writing.

Amendments by The Manor House

The Manor House do not accept any liability and shall not be liable for non-completion of the package or for any delays arising as a result of:
Exceptional adverse weather conditions.
Loss or damage by fire or floods, or any other cause beyond its reasonable control.

The Manor House reserves the right to increase prices where necessary without prior notice.

Damages

Clients will be responsible for any damage caused to furniture, fixtures or fittings during their stay.

Credit Facilities

The Company reserves the right to grant, refuse or limit credit facilities.
